Stacey Maltin (Conquest of the Universe: Fire Women) is thrilled to be working with Peculiar Works Project on this fabulous endeavor!  She is proud to be a fire dancer in this crazy piece with the rest of these wonderful people. She is a recent NYU Tisch graduate and the co-founder of Ashberry Productions.

Moti Margolin (The Rock Garden) has last performed with Bryn Manion and Aisling Arts as Old Mahon in Synge’s Playboy of the Western World. Other recent productions include Martin McDonough’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane as Pato Dooley; Torch in Lawrence Fishburne’s Riff Raff; and Sam Shepard’s and Patti Smith’s Cowboy Mouth as Slim.

Jason Martin (When Queens Collide—Ludlam Homage) is excited to be back after performing in the West Village Fragments last fall. Jason spent last summer at Bard Summerscape in Ken Roht’s Offenbach!!! and come August, he’ll be in Copi’s 4 Twins and will premiere his first work as playwright. This fall he will attend Columbia University for an MFA in Acting.

Walter Masterson (The Indian Wants The Bronx) Born and raised in Manhattan, Walter has appeared in indie films, notably L.I.E. (Sundance), and Bomb the System (Tribeca Film Festival).  In the soon to be released film, I Believe In America, Walter plays the young incarnation of a Puerto Rican revolutionary. Currently working on a TV Pilot, Mediocre New York, Walter is taking on sketch comedy exploring everything—all things mediocre—in NYC. mediocrenewyork.com

Nick Matthews (Why Hanna’s Skirt Won’t Stay Down) most recently appeared in The Jocker at Wings Theatre in the lead role of Nat. Right before that he worked with TSOSII and Peculiar Works on Doric Wilson’s revival of And He Made A Her at the Laurie Beechman. He’s also been on As The World Turns and Guiding Light. He’s thrilled to be working with Mark (thank you!!) and PWP once again!!

Valerie McCann (The Hawk) Valerie recently appeared in 365 Days/365 Plays with the SITI Company. Founding member of ARTEL, a Los Angeles based physical theatre ensemble. Credits: The Festivities (Tatyana), The Shadow (Princess), Far Away, and the US premiere of Top Gun! The Musical (Goose).

Jonathan Medina (Birdbath) began acting after the Navy...at least publicly. Prior to there was math class, the street, job interviews and pointed questions by angry supervisors which most people would label as creative responses; this was training. Jonathan can be seen (when he is not speaking about himself in the third person) at various spoken word forums around the city, five boroughs and MTA mediations.

Nidia Medina (Hair) A graduate of Emerson College’s BFA Acting program not too long ago, Nidia has been meandering about the city working on shows at the Gallery Players in Brooklyn, in FringeFestNYC 2006, and presenting solo work through the Troupe Theatre. She also really enjoys baked goods and this show — which are both great.

Steve Meicke (Five Points Jazz) With over 20 years of experience playing saxophone, Steve’s sound has been compared to greats like Joe Henderson, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon and Maceo Parker. Specializing in jazz and funk/fusion, Steve is a versatile player known for his rich tone and unorthodox improvisational style. He plays the tenor, alto, soprano and baritone saxes. Steve currently lives and performs in New York City. He leads his own jazz group, that plays classic jazz standards to contemporary funk/fusion. Jason Mesches (Viet Rock) is an acting major at Syracuse University and is thrilled to be working with Peculiar Works. He is a comedy writer and an accomplished pianist, performing original music all over the east coast, including shows at NYC’s Lion’s Den and Knitting Factory. His regional theatre debut opens this November at Syracuse Stage in Fiddler on the Roof.

Joyce Miller (Murder Cake) Roles Include: Naomi (In the Living Room), Antony (Julius Caesar), Elizabeth Proctor, Liz Morden and many other roles at Williamstown. Readings: LandEscapers, End Days. Michael ‘Mitch’ Mitchell (Viet Rock) With a love for ‘live entertainment’, Mitch Mitchell has been involved in various community theater, talent, fashion & benefit shows since childhood, starting in his hometown of Racine, WI. Whether laboring as an actor, stage hand, text writer or Master of Ceremony, Mitch brings hearty dedication to every project with a smile & wealth of international experiences from Africa, Europe & the Middle East.

Jenny Lee Mitchell (The Maids) Dance of the Vampires, (dir. Roman Polanski) Fame, Falsettos, Jekyll & Hyde, The Elephant Man, Orpheus in the Underworld, Wonderland (The Flying Machine), The Curse of the Mystic Renaldo (3LD). Proud member of Emerging Artists Theatre. Plays with the clown band The Maestrosities.

James E. Morton (Hurrah for the Bridge) was born and raised in New York City and has always been exposed to the arts at the discretion of his parents and has been acting and assisting with theater since high school to become part of the arts he grew to admire so much.

Jessica Paddock (Conquest of the Universe—Vaccaro Homage) just graduated this past may from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company acting school, Stonestreet studios for film and television, and the Experimental Theatre Wing. Love to Bones.

Nick Palladino (XXXXXXs) is a graduate of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. In 2005 he co-founded theatre1050, a non-profit theatre company devoted to bringing new challenging works to NYC. He’ll be playing Pete in Ken Urban’s Nibbler, scheduled for opening this fall. He’d like to thank Jon Michael Murphy for his continued collaboration and vision, and also his fellow cast mates and the Peculiar Works family.

Tess Paras (Hair) Thank you, Bob, Laura, and Ricky! Recent Credits: ShowChoir! The Musical (Workshop), Disney Cruise Line, Miss Saigon. She co-stars in the web sitcom 72nd to Canal. Tess graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU with a degree in Communications. Thank you to my family and Thomas. Proud member of AEA.

Greta Pauley (The Mulberry Bush) Greta is the Artistic Director of theatre1050. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio. Favorite NYC credits: Dutchman, Necessary Targets, Hands Around, OFF Stage: The West Village Fragments, Idioglossia. Love to SZR.

Molly Phelps (18 Happenings in 6 Parts) Debuting with Peculiar Works in the happening, Molly Phelps received her BFA in dance cum laude from SUNY Purchase. For almost a decade, she has danced professionally in NYC for Stephen Koplowitz, Kimberly Kresge, Caron Eule, Abby Levine, and Beth Goheen, to name a few.

Ann Pielli (The Mulberry Bush) In March 2007, Ann co-wrote, produced and starred in the two-woman show The Jaygee and Ann Show with Jaygee Macapugay. Favorite performances include Uncle Wong in The Whales (La Muse Venale), Lady Lettice in The Beard of Avon and Janie in Wonder of the World (Phoenix Players).

Lars Preece (When Queens Collide—Ludlam Homage) has performed downtown at LaMaMa ETC, PS 122, Red Room Dlea, Cherry Lane and Dupex. Credits include the Emcee Cabaret (national tour); Hedwig, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (national tour); Seymour, Little Shop of Horrors (Plymouth Theatre); Snoopy, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Amarinic Playhouse); Don Lockwood, Singin’ in the Rain (Corbett Center); and the Maitre’d, The Burg episode #105. Lars is very proud to be working on Significant Blur with fellow cast mates and directors. Thanks to Gabriel!

Tracy Rawles (Hair) is a native of Jackson, N.C. and began singing at home as a child. Her love of singing has been heavily influenced by the gospel music of the traditional Southern Baptist Church. She is very grateful to be a part of the East Village Fragments. Much appreciation to her family and friends for their loving support.

Ryan Redebaugh (Lullaby for a Dying Man) is a rising senior at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts where he will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. Currently studying at the Atlantic Theatre Company, Redebaugh has also received training at the Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Stonestreet studios. Representative roles include: Moe (Awake and Sing!), Pale (Burn This) and Austin (True West). Redebaugh aspires to entertain future audiences on both the stage and screen.

Christopher Ryan Richards (America Hurrah!) has performed in the Moliere Cycle at Classic Stage Company and in workshops for New York Theatre Workshop. Regional credits: Macbeth, The Seagull, As You Like It, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, King Lear, and Spring Awakening. Education: MFA, Columbia University. BA, Middlebury College, Oxford University.

Russell H. Saylor III (Hair) Russell is honored to be performing selections from Hair for Off Stage: The East Village Fragments. NY: premieres of The Screams Of Kitty Genovese and Frankenstein. Favorite national tours: Starlight Express and Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical. Favorite regional credits: Chicago, Into The Woods, and Forever Plaid. Kathleen Schlemmer (The Mulberry Bush) earned her BA at Whitman College. She has also studied acting at A.C.T. in San Francisco and the William Esper Studio, interned at the Atlantic Theater Company and was mentored by Bob LuPone. Some of Kathleen’s favorite acting credits include The Jewish Wife, Cabaret, SubUrbia, and A Doll’s House.

Will Schmincke (XXXXXXs) is originally from Farmingdale, NJ. He graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

Richard Sheinmel (Camera Obscura) is a playwright whose play Sheila Mom is currently at the Metropolitan Playhouse and recently appeared in his own play Modern Living in the club at LaMaMa. He regularly performs with PWP, first appearing in 1996’s Freiheit Makes a Stand and more recently as Sancho Panza in Peculiar’s Don Quixote event In Praise of Folly. He has also acted with The Ridiculous Theatrical Company, Ridge Theater, Reza Abdoh, Penny Arcade, SoHo Rep, Linda Simpson, John Jesurun and was a long time player in Jeff Weiss’s cult hit Hot Keys.

Candy Simmons (The Maids) An aspiring aerial acrobat, Candy Simmons hails from Mobile, AL.  Most recently she performed as part of Emerging Artists Theatre’s One Woman Standing festival and is currently developing a full length solo show. NYC theatre includes: Abingdon Theatre Company, Collective Unconscious, Ailanthus Theater Company, Double Helix Theatre Company and Expanded Arts.

Jeremy Tant (The Indian Wants The Bronx) As a senior in the BFA acting program, Jeremy is currently attending Marymount Manhattan College. This is his first performance in Manhattan outside of school. He enjoys writing and playing music, directing and a bit of playwriting. Along with participating in the Peculiar Works Project, Jeremy has been working with Cold Ash productions, in preparation for post-graduation. He would like to thank all those who have made this event possible and all his friends and family.

Kennedy Taylor (XXXXXXs) most recently wrapped shooting roles in Corey Edwards’ Apartment 5B, Rebecca Dabney’s Rhythm of Life and Rachel Lawson’s A Perfectly Planned Proposal. She relocated to NYC to pursue her passion for the stage which began in South Bay, FL, at a very young age under the guidance of Alma Bennett. Kennedy received her BA from Harvard University.

Patrick Taylor (Viet Rock) is excited to be a part of his second Peculiar Works production, after playing Dionysus in the West Village Fragments last fall. A 2007 graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Patrick’s most recent roles include Bloody Five in a Tisch main stage production of Man is Man, guest starring on Law & Order: SVU, and playing Warren in On Story at The Atlantic Theater Company. Aimee Todoroff (Conquest of the Universe: Fire Women) has worked professionally throughout OH, PA and NY. Most recently, she played Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire and the role of Carol in David Mamet’s two person show Reunion. Her favorite roles continue to be Kate in Brighton Beach Memiors and Irene in Avow. She has recently begun to direct as well as perform, and had her NYC directing debut last summer with Paul Cohen’s A Real American Woman in Space. Aimee would like to thank her parents for their continued love and support.

Debbie Troché (Camera Obscura) was last seen in the critically acclaimed Charlie Victor Romeo. She has worked with director Cusack previously on I Claudius: Live and Der Ring Gott Farblonjet. Her one-woman show She’s Not Well will be presented in the 2007 FringeNYC in August. shesnotwell.com.

Lisa Villamaria (Viet Rock) is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University obtaining a Bachelors of Fine Arts in music and voice. Ms. Villamaria is very excited to be a part of Peculiar Works’ OFF Stage. Some favorite credits include Sillabub in Cats, Kim u/s (perf.) at the Majestic Theater’s production of Miss Saigon, Mimi in Miss Saigon, Lucille in Junie B. Jones, Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Dionne in Hair, Catherine in Pippin, and Godspell. Ms. Villamaria is very thankful for her very supportive family and friends especially Mom, Dad, Tina, Joe, Pluto and Amarillo.

Bradley Wells (Futz) performed in Peculiar Works’ West Village Fragments last Fall, playing Adam in Doric Wilson’s And He Made a Her. Other NY performances: Murder, The Force Trilogy, played Macbeth in Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, and Much Ado About Nothing in Central Park.

Jennifer Whitman (A Corner of the Morning) MFA from Brooklyn College.  Favorite roles include Elizabeth in The Crucible, Abby in Mercy Seat, Sarah in Children of a Lesser God, Mildred in Mildred Pierce, Bodey in A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur.

Zak Wilson (The Bundle Man) is very happy to be working with Peculiar Works again, having previously appeared in the West Village Fragments and a staged reading of The Rock Garden. He would like to thank Casey McLain for having the poor sense to cast him for the fourth time.

Michael Young (The Bundle Man) is a musical theatre student at University at Buffalo. He has recently been in Berlin To Broadway, She Loves Me, Line and Stephen Berkov’s The Trial. He is grateful to his friends and family for all of their support.

Jerry Zellers (Futz) moved to NYC from Cleveland, OH in 1999 and since then became a member of The Actors Studio; was a Bat Theater Co member for 2 years, worked with Mac Wellman, Len Jenkin & Jim Simpson; understudied John Lithgow; did a Law and Order: CI episode and several indie films and shorts; got an MFA in Acting in 2002 and has done several theatrical works.
