Franziska Blattner (Goodnight, I Love You) Originally from Switzerland and Canada, Franziska came to New York many years ago and decided to stay. She has appeared in off-off Broadway productions and in independent films and has done voice-over work. She is also a Reiki master and hopes to have a thriving practice one day.
Richard Binder (In Circles) was in the PWP reading of Viet Rock. Janet Bryant (The Recluse) is pleased to appear in Paul Foster’s The Recluse. She portrayed Lorraine in Barry Rowell’s It’s Good Enough for Me at Dixon Place. Janet was nominated for a Helen Hayes for her portrayal of May in the D.C. premiere of Fool For Love during her three seasons at the Round House Theater. She trained at the Tisch School of the Arts.
Sara Buffamanti (In Circles) has performed in Germany and Korea as Feste in Twelfth Night, and in Italy as Adela in Karin Coonrod’s The House of Bernarda Alba. Sara recently wrote and performed a one-woman clown show, Eleanor alla Barre (NY International Fringe Festival) and is the founder of Super Effort Productions.
Diana Byrne (The Hydra) of Sparta, New Jersey, recently joined Peculiar Works Project’s West Village Fragments. She is truly enjoying this incredible experience and the opportunity to work with so many talented people. Other performances include Princess and the Pea, Willie Wonka, Annie, The Glass Slipper and The Wizard of Oz with local dance theatres.

Oscar Castillo (Successful Life of 3) A native New Yorker, Oscar has been acting for 12 years. Oscar is a founding member of The Theater Project in N.J. For the past 3 years he has toured with the Pushcart Players Children’s Theatre Co. and will tour nationwide this fall. This past year Oscar has been co-writing a script based on the artwork of Paul Cadmus with his friends at the Mad Shag Theatre Co. As always, Oscar is thrilled to be working in NYC and is excited to be a part of OFF Stage.
Jeff Clarke (In Circles) is a founding member of Performance Lab 115 and performed with them in God’s Waiting Room (Outstanding Play Award, 2005 NY Fringe). Recent work: A Small Hole (PL115); Crocodile Eyes (Premio Dams Festival, Italy); Twelfth Night (Germany and Korea); and The First Chapter of Peter (Edinburgh Fringe).
Siobhan Doherty (Dionysus in 69) is a recent NYU grad and a California native. She attended Stella Adler Conservatory, and studied in Dublin, Ireland. Recent NYU credits include Hannah in Arcadia, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and Doreen in Mouthful of Birds. Outside experience includes teaching drama at Young People’s Summer Stock and assisting a new company called Theatre of Mass Destruction. She is thrilled to be working with such a titillating director and becoming a new part of West Village history.
Patricia Drozda (Dionysis in 69) was the Assistant Director of Dionysis in 69 (revival) at the Performance Garage. Patricia has a B.A. in Theatre from Indiana University and an M.F.A. in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University. She would like to thank her family for their love and support.
Rob Gaines (The Hydra) studied acting with Eloise Watt and Michael Becket. He has played countless roles for the Instant Shakespeare Company (really, he tried to count them), but his favorites were Sir Andrew Aguecheek and King Henry IV. He also produces readings of classical plays just for fun.
Dionisio Flores García (Dionysus in 69), a 2002 Yale graduate in economics, is a university professor who suddenly decided to take up acting. He is enjoying his second career as much as his first, and is eagerly seeking his next project.

Erik Gratton (The Brig) believes he’s the only living actor to play WILBUR THE PIG and HAMLET on the same day. He works often with Personal Space Theatrics, and has been seen recently at the Metropolitan Playhouse, performing with NY Classical Theatre and Tax Deductible Theatre, and directing fights all over the country.
Liz Gutman (Dionysus in 69) is a 2005 graduate of NYU’s Tisch School. Recent roles include Joyce/Gret in Top Girls, Bolingbroke in Richard II, Sagredo/Little Monk in Galileo and Dionysus in the revival workshop of Dionysus in 69 at The Performing Garage. Love to Mom, Dad and Dan.
Steven Hauck (The Madness of Lady Bright) has appeared in new plays with La MaMa E.T.C., NY International Fringe Festival, Emerging Artists, MadShag Performance Group and Young Playwrights Festival at the Cherry Lane. Regional credits include Art and Twelve Angry Men at GeVa Theatre, How I Learned To Drive and An Ideal Husband at Tennessee Rep, The Good German at Florida Stage, and Twelfth Night at Clarence Brown Theater and Virginia Stage. Steve toured to Paris, Berlin and Vienna with Phantom of the Opera. He is the recipient of a Kellogg Foundation grant for his one-person stage adaptation of Walt Whitman’s Song Of Myself. He holds an MFA from the University of Delaware Professional Theater Training Program, and is a 20-year member of Actors Equity.
Andrew Hurley (The Brig) has been acting in New York for thirteen years. Favorite roles include Tom in The Last Menagerie, Jack in Cracked, Menelaus in The Trojan Women, and Tom in The Blue Puppies Cycle. Andrew would like to thank the producers (Catherine, Barry and Ralph) of OFF Stage for allowing him to participate in this historic show. Andrew’s performance is dedicated to David Vining for never losing faith and to Missy Erwin, the “author of the new me.”
Christopher Hurt (Successful Life of 3) is pleased to be returning to Peculiar Works’ renowned tour series. He has appeared in In Praise of Folly, The Judson House Project, and other PWP works over the past few years. And has also been seen in productions at the Miranda Theater, Rattlestick Theater, and other venues, He is an avid crossword puzzle solver and a noted constructor of puzzles of all kinds.
Derek Jamison (West of the Moon/The Bed) is Associate Artistic Director of Emerging Artists Theatre Company. With EAT he has directed several plays including the upcoming Elephant Girls this winter. He is also a frequent collaborator at the Metropolitan Playhouse where he directed East Village Chronicles II, Alphabet City III, among others.
Tom Johnson (Home Movies) appeared in Jane Shepard’s Ducks Crossing, also directed by Julie Hamberg, at Vital Theatre Company. He will appear in Shepard’s Glass Jaw at the Barrow Group in December. In Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Humana Festival, Tom appeared in Back Story. Thanks to Julie and Jane for their faith in me.
Ben Kopit (The Brig): Previous leading roles include Lawrence in For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls, Han in Billy and Han, Fauna Alexander in Sleeping Beauty, or Coma, Diabetes in God, and John Silver in the film Wannabe. Ben has studied at Columbia College and The Actor’s Center.
Justin Lauro (Dionysus in 69) is a scoundrel, a notorious bachelor, and an exceptional swordsman. He keeps an apartment in the West Village with his duck, Ben.
Donna Lazar (Dionysus in 69) is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained at Stella Adler Studio and Stonestreet Film & Television Studio. Recent credits: Lucy in Pains of Youth, Euridice in Romeo in the Underworld, Millie in Picnic, Madge Husky in Trailer Park Broadcasting Scandals, and Perdita in The Winter’s Tale.
Kristen Lewis (Dames at Sea) recently graduated with a BFA in drama from NYU. She has been dancing since the age of 7. Since graduating she played the lead in an independent feature, Mona, and she has many other regional credits.
Carl Ka-Ho Li (The Maids) Born in Hong Kong; raised in CT. Carl recently graduated with a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut, training in Suzuki techniques (Eric Hill). He moved to NYC in May 2005 and has since starred in the Strawberry 1-Act Play Festival’s Hook-Up, done student/independant films, commercials/industrials, music videos, and is the lead in the forthcoming workshop of the new play, Wo Dzai.
Jesse Liebman (The Doorman) is thrilled to be part of OFF Stage in his first Peculiar Works show. He recently returned from a summer apprenticeship at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and currently studies at The New Actors Workshop here in NYC. Rebecca Lingafelter (In Circles) is a founding member of Performance Lab 115. Jason Martin (Dionysus in 69) is thrilled to be a part of this important work. He recently performed upstate in Ken Roht’s opera, Offenbach!!! at the Bard Summerscape Festival. You can see him in The Minstrel Project, a film in the New York Historical Society’s 2nd Slavery Exhibit, due to open in November.
Belinda Mello (The Recluse) recently performed at the Istanbul International Theater Festival. Her directing credits include D’Amour’s The Cataract and Sunshine’s Al Takes a Bride. She is currently choreographer for June Moon and co-writer of a musical in development at TPAC work & show. She teaches Alexander Technique and Movement for actors at Brooklyn College.
Melissa Menzie (The Director: Prologue & The Hydra) graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Musical Theatre and has performed on both the east coast and west coast. Some favorite roles include; Olivia in Twelfth Night, Diana in All’s Well... , Woman 1 in Starting Here, Starting Now, Myrrhine in Lysistrata and Elizabeth (Mrs. Fred) in A Christmas Carol.
Gretchen M. Michelfeld (The Madness of Lady Bright) is best known as a co-creator of the comedy troupe Lesbian Pulp-O-Rama! Other acting credits include Desdemona and Beatrice at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, Dunizade in Blue Wren Rep’s Arabian Nights, as well as several appearances at EST, TACT, HERE Arts Center, and New Georges. She is also a playwright whose work has been done at New Georges and the Sodra Teatern in Stockholm. Gretchen is proud to be the Membership Coordinator at the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
Soneela Nankani (In Circles) is in the MFA Acting program, Columbia University. As an Associate Artist with Sojourn Theatre (Oregon) she has appeared in Passing Glances and Seven Great Loves (Drammy for Best Ensemble Cast). In NY: worked with The Civilians; at Columbia, acted in The Cherry Orchard, Yerma and Happy Days.

Jessie Paddock (Dionysus in 69) is a senior drama major at NYU. She trained for three years at the Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School and is currently at Stonestreet Studios.
Nick Palladino (Red Cross) trained at Mason Gross School of Performing Arts at Rutgers University. He is one of the founding members of Theatre 1050, a non-profit performance group. You can also see Nick perform comedy improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade, with the team ‘Avenge Me.’
Stacy Parker (Home Movies) is an MFA graduate from Columbia University. In New York City she has worked at The Mint Theater, Vital Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera. In Chicago she worked with many wonderful Off-Loop theatres including Strawdog where she is an ensemble member. She is just happy to be here.
Greta Pauley (The Hydra, The Poet) holds a BFA from NYUs Tisch School of the Arts. She spent three years at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and is now the Artistic Director of Theatre 1050, a not-for-profit theatre company based in Manhattan. Ellie Scully (Successful Life of 3) currently works as a nurse on the new TV show 3 Pounds alongside Stanly Tucci. She hosts an Internet TV show about feng shui called Outside In and Inside Out, and stars in various Jorge Colombo mini-movies (www.jorgecolombo.com/tattoo). She has studied and performed in England and Scotland for the fringe fest. NY credits include scene work with John Gould Rubin and various plays both classical and contemporary.

Chris Weikel (And He Made a Her) recently completed a year as Robert Benchley in Talk of the Town at the famed Algonquin Hotel. Regional credits: Sacramento Music Circus, Seaside Music Theater, GeVa, Paper Mill Playhouse, American Stage and Florida Stage. London: The Snow Queen. Also a playwright, his WeikelWorks will be produced by TOSOS II this fall.
Bradley Wells (And He Made a Her): New York: Hanoch Levine’s Murder at Performance Space 122, Remuda at the Midtown Theatre Festival, Taming of the Shrew, 78th Street Theatre Lab. Max Woertendyke (The Brig): Born and bred in Brooklyn, Max graduated from McGill University with a degree in history. Most recent stage credits include an NTAE production of The Three Musketeers and Girl, produced as part of the mentor projects at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Max’s voice will also be heard in an upcoming cartoon on the FOX network.
