WorkSite Development Projects

Peculiar WorkSites has become our core development program for serving our artist community and our audiences. For each worksite, we commission collaborative teams from across artistic disciplines to create new performances in unusual sites. These teams are given time to develop the work and a public workshop performance where they receive frank and constructive feedback before they begin preparing a full production. Our audiences have a unique opportunity to see art forms combined in unusual hybrid ways in free (or very low-cost) performances and to play a role in the artistic process. WorkSites allows us to create a longer and richer development process for each project, which we believe helps us to make stronger and more fully-realized mainstage productions.
